The Good, the Bad, and the Chaos: Part I
By: Kellen Huber (DepthCharge)
For someone going to his first prerelease it can be nerve wrecking or very exciting.
Since this was my second prerelease, I was excited to see all the new cards that
were being reprinted into a new color like Mana Tithe aka Force spike white, It
shows a lot of potential and when i first arrived at the Inverrary Plaza Resort,
it was a beautiful hotel in a very nice area. After finding the ballroom where
the prerelease was held i was in shock, the reason? I was the second person there.
I wasn't surprised although because I don't think anyone wants to wake up before
eight o' clock in the morning. But near nine-thirty came around (after the fact
that i sold two very good cards for a giant solifuge and two bucks and trading
an artifact and two old angels for a call of the herd, GO ME!) we soon started the
sealed tourney for planar chaos, I noticed two differences in this prerelease from my
first one at the convention center,
- Non-deck registration
- Instead of a tournament box with two boosters, instead we received a box and three chaos boosters
Of course this was not a problem and it didn't seem to bother anyone else,
and my god was this set insane! Here is a list of my card pool:

At first I was like WOW this is set is awesome and after I left the prerelease it still was.
Since we were the first flight it didn't matter who had what card (well it did for some people)
and we each showed some of the cards that we got from the new set and I was impressed at how
awesome these cards were. One response was from the person in front of me at my table which
after he said these words most of the table looked at him and wanted to see the card itself,
here is what he said, " ITS A Vindicate on a STICK!". Now if that that doesn't get you excited
then most certainly the other cards will. Back to my sealed deck, I’ll admit this was very
(and I mean very) hard for me to choose the best sort of action in choosing colors by either
going two, three to four colors, four colors at first seemed like a really good choice and
after testing it, it didn't work out, because of this I went down to two colors, B/R or G/R.
Black was over flooded with good cards and removal and Red and Green had some good synergy.
The colors I choose were G/R and I will post next time what my deck turned out and my results
on my matches.
